Michelle Roverelli
Director of Member Relations and Communications, European Broadcasting Union (EBU)
Michelle Roverelli is Director of Member Relations and Communications for the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
She is a proven leader in corporate affairs, marketing and advocacy campaigns, brand reputation and strategy as well as experienced at navigating complex policy environments.
As part of the EBU’s senior leadership team, Michelle is responsible for Member and Institutional Relations, ensuring the delivery of the EBU value proposition, supporting Members in 56 countries and championing the values and needs of public service media in Europe and beyond. Michelle also leads marketing, communications and events for the organization.
A Rome native, Michelle joined the EBU in 2007 as a Senior Communications Officer. She was appointed Head of Communications in 2011, and took over responsibility for marketing, branding and events in 2018 before being appointed Director.
Prior to joining the EBU, she held senior roles in two global public affairs and ommunications consultancies in Brussels and Geneva. She also has extensive experience in influential lobbies in Brussels, with COPA-COGECA, the umbrella group for European farm lobbies, as well as Italy’s industrial lobby Confindustria and its European counterpart BusinessEurope.
Michelle is multi-lingual and graduated in Political Science from Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome; she also holds a Masters in EU Policy and Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
