Marie-Philippe Bouchard

President and CEO, TV5 Québec Canada

Marie-Philippe Bouchard is the President and CEO of TV5 Québec Canada since February 8, 2016. She is responsible for all aspects of the management of TV5 and Unis TV and

the subsidiary Epilogue Technical Services Inc. Since September 2019 she is also President and CEO of TV5 Numérique.


She holds various positions on the boards of public and non-profit organisations: President of the Conseil de direction du Centre de recherche en droit public (CRDP), Université de Montreal, Member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of Les Médias francophones publics (MFP), member of the Boards of Directors of Société de développement commercial du Vieux-Montréal (SDC) and Festival international de Lanaudière and President of le comité consultatif de philanthropie de la Faculté de droit de l’Université de Montréal. Recently, she obtained a Certificate in Ethic and Compliance from l’École des dirigeants HEC Montréal.


From 1987 to 2016, she held various management and senior management positions at CBC/Radio-Canada in strategic planning and regulatory affairs, television news and

public affairs, radio news, digital services and music, for which she held the position of Executive Director, until January 2016.


She has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1985 and holds a Master’s in public law from the Université de Montreal. She joined the legal services of CBC/Radio-Canada in 1987, after having taught Communications Law as a lecturer and researcher at the Centre de recherche en droit public of the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal in her early career.
